AMEC mixed bag for 1H

Amec Foster Wheeler posted increased revenue for the first half of 2016 (1H 2016) compared to the same period of last year, although the company made a loss and debt increased during the period. The company recorded revenue of US $3.69 Bn (￡2.84 Bn) in 1H 2016 compared to $3.45 Bn (￡2.66 Bn) in 1H 2015. Loss before tax in 1H 2016 was -$578.5m (-￡446m), against a profit of $94.7m (￡73m) in 1H 2015. Net debt increased to $1.40 Bn (￡1.08 Bn) from $1.24 Bn (￡957m).
