Transocean has bagged two one-year extensions for mid-water floaters.The Sedco 714 will continue its work for Total in the UK North Sea for an additional year at a hiked dayrate of US $395,000, said the Switzerland-based drilling contractor. It was previously booked through to December 2012 at a day rate of $253,000.The Transocean John Shaw will also extend its UK North Sea work for Taqa at a day rate of $360,000 starting in November 2013.
