Det norske has spudded the 7/11-13 exploration well on the Geite prospect in the Norwegian North Sea. Joint venture partner Bridge Energy said the well in Production Licence 497 (PL 497) is targeting the Geite prospect, which is located 30km west of the Ula field. The well is being drilled by the Maersk Guardian jack-up rig. The well target is a Triassic reservoir. The estimated unrisked mean potential targeted by the well is 100m bbl.
