摘要

The viscosity behavior has been studied for poly-epsilon-caprolactone (PCL), poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) and a (50:50) blend of PCL/PVC in three different solvents at 25 degrees C. It was found that solvents show a great influence upon the viscosity behavior. PCL/PVC blends are completely miscible due to the attractive interaction through hydrogen bonding. This type of attraction could cause the viscosity behavior of the solution to deviate from viscosity additivity to an extent that depends on the nature of the solvent. This influence is a reflection of the competition among all kinds of interactions in solution. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd. [References: 22]
