Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) reports that the Goliat Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, the world's largest cylindrical FPSO ordered by Eni, has sailed away from its yard in South Korea. The 64,000 ton FPSO, which is 112m (367ft) in diameter and 75m (246ft) in height, is designed to store 1m b/d. The FPSO will be installed in the Goliat field in the Barents Sea offshore Norway, around 85 km northwest of Hammerfest. Start-up is expected by mid-2015.
