Importance of Norway 'no go' areas highlighted

Opening areas of the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) currently closed to oil and gas activities could increase investment by US 28-35 Bn between 2022-2040, according to a new KonKraft report. The report, which was submitted to petroleum and energy minister Terje Riis-Johansen, also suggests that leaving such acreage closed would increase the fall in capital spending on the NCS.
