UK Chancellor Alistair Darling has announced a relaxation in the criteria for field allowances, as he bids to bring explorers back to the UK North Sea.In his pre-budget report. Darling said the change will apply to the ultra high pressure, high temperature field allowance.He said: "These changes could support the recovery of up to 300 million additional barrels of oil and gas from the North Sea."
