Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG) has won the Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) contract from Maersk Oil for the UK North Sea Culzean field jackets for both the central processing facilities (CPF) platform and the utility & living quarter (ULQ) platform. Both jackets will be approximately 115m tall and have a footprint of 38x38m. The jacket for the CPF has a top of 24x30m and a weight of nearly 8,000 tonnes. The top of the ULQ jacket will be 24x24m and this jacket will weigh 6,800 tonnes. Construction is due to start in January 2016 to be ready for sail away in June 2017.
