Total of France has been awarded a five-year licence lor the deepwater Khan Asparuh Block in the Bulgarian sector of the Black Sea. The Khan Asparuh Block covers 15,000sq km off the western Black Sea coast. The block lies 15km from the Neptun Block offshore Romania where ExxonMobil and Austria's OMV made the large Domino-1 gas discovery in February. The operator will work with partners OMV and Spain's Repsol on the block.
