Ithaca grabs Cook/MacCulloch stakes

Ithaca Energy has struck a US $3 8.5m deal with Noble Energy to acquire non-operated interests in the UK North Sea producing MacCulloch and Cook fields. Ithaca will snap up a 12.885% interest in the Cook field and a 14% interest in the MacCulloch field. The acquisitions are forecast to result in net incremental production, predominantly oil, for Ithaca of approximately 1,100 boe/d in 2012. The two fields are anticipated to increase the company's net proven and probable reserves by 3.4m boe.
