BG takes on Honduras block

UK player BG Group is gearing up to start exploration offshore Honduras with an initial investment of at least US $20m, according to local reports. Honduran authorities plan to give BG an environmental licence today for an offshore block covering 35,000sq km off the coast of La Mosquitia, a jungle region bordering Nicaragua, Roberto Herrera, an adviser to the president, told Reuters.
