General Electric (GE) is seeking bidders for its plastics business as it attempts to focus on more profitable and less volatile operations.Speaking at the company's 2006 end of year results meeting,GE chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt said the plastics operation had been facing "competitive challenges" during 2006.
