European PP demand disappoints

Last year saw more "modest growth" for polypropylene demand in Western Europe,according to constancy Nexant Chem Systems.It estimates that PP consumption rose by 3.1% to 8,180 kilotonnes in 2004,following growth of 2.0% in 2003.Nexant is projecting this demand to grow at a compound annual rate of 3.6% for the period 2005-2010.
