New oxo-biodegradable cap from US-based Norland

US-based Norland International has created what it claims is the industry's first oxo-biodegradable cap for five gallon (23 litre) water bottles. The injection moulded Earth Cap is made of LDPE and contains an additive that accelerates the degradation process, says Norland. It also has a biodegradable non-adhesive tamper-evident label and 2mm foam seal, meaning the whole cap is biodegradable.
