Researchers aim to injection mould mono-material polymer composites

Self reinforcing plastics - composites where both the matrix and reinforcement are made from the same polymer - have been used in a number of ther-moformed and compression moulded applications, such as Samsonite's award-winning Cosmolite suitcase. Now researchers have developed a way to process these novel composites by injection moulding.
