摘要

Anatolia has one of the oldest traditions of the manufacture of fired earthenware in the world. Excavation at Catalhoyuk and Hacilar located at central Anatolia revealed that in the 7th millennium BC, its inhabitants produced pottery and decorative fired clay figurines. This tradition continued from Bronze age to Hittites, Greeks, Romans, Byzantine and finally to Ottomans.
