More strong gains for PS

Last month,polystyrene producers achieved gains of euro80-100/tonne despite a roll over in the styrene monomer price for September.Material availability is very tight with Total,BASF and Nova all shutting PS plants for maintenance.Sales were somewhat disappointing in September,which is normally a lively month for PS after the summer vacation.
