CSI lightens cap for carbonated drinks

Closure Systems International (CSI) has launched the Omni mini XP, which it claims is the lightest and best-performing closure for carbonated drinks. The omni mini XP is a one-piece, linerless 28mm closure and is compatible with the 1881 bottle finish. It weighs less than 2g and provides CO2 retention and impact resistance, as well as helping manufacturers use less material, says CSI.
