Direct PU gasketing system for PP parts

Surface treatment specialist Plasmatreat and PU systems company Ceracon have developed S-FIT, a new technology for producing foamed PU gaskets on thermoplastics parts during the moulding process. PU seals are commonly applied to thermoplastic mouldings using the post-moulded "foamed-in-place" process, but application within the moulding cycle has proved a challenge as the PU often sticks to the mould.
