Uponor's Finnish workers agree lay-offs

Finnish pipes and fittings maker Uponor has reached an agreement with unions to layoff all 360 of its workers in Finland for at least two weeks, as part of a phased programme running to the end of 2009.The lay-offs will be staggered so the company's production and performance will not be reduced. The programme will begin in July and will run until the end of the year.
