A new "active" thin wall injection moulding technology has been combined with IML processing to produce thin wall decorated containers that are lighter than thermoformed equivalents. The partners behind the technology, UK-based processing technology company Trad pac and precision mouldmaker FSG Tool & Die, have already designed and built a twin-cavity test mould that has been tri alled for an un-named packaging producer.
