Italian machinery makers have long been key players in the extrusion sector. Peter Mapleston provides an update on the latest developments in the market and the newest technologies on offer Italian extrusion equipment makers have had their ups and downs over recent years, but on balance the sector looks to be in good shape. Trade association Assocomaplast recently reported production and export data showing that exports of extruders and extrusion lines rose from EUR286m in 2006 to EUR320m last year.
