Thermal imaging of defects

LAB Micro-Epsilon, the German precision sensor manufacturer, has developed an inline, non-contact temperature measurement device for the quality control of injection moulding machines. The thermolMAGER TIM thermal imaging camera is mounted on the injection moulding machine, using thermal radiation to detect not only visual faults but also hidden defects within the material itself.
