Aim of the study. Hollington et al. discuss the difficult topic of enterocutaneous fistulas. Their investigation is based on the experience of St. Mark's Hospital in London. The authors aim was to demonstrate the complex nature of fistulas and the extensive therapy necessary to treat this potentially dangerous and demanding disease.
