The authors appreciate the effort that Lepor has expended in submitting his editorial [1] about our publication [2]. Obviously, his contributions to the field of male voiding dysfunction have been seminal and consistently forthright. Lepor's comments are largely consistent with those in our manuscript and appear generally correct. However, we are compelled to respond to certain opinions expressed in the letter and feel that our viewpoint is based on the inelegant facts and limitations of the available data.
