The ongoing evolution of molecular medicine and the rapid democratization of digital communications make today a very interesting time to be a physician. The amount of information available for clinical decisions has increased exponentially. Social media use allows health information to be shared easily, globally, and permanently, with unclear risks and benefits. In this issue of European Urology, Roupret et al. provide the European Association of Urology (EAU) guidelines for responsible social media use to help us navigate our way through exciting but uncertain digital terrain [1].
