摘要

There are basically two ways to connect the ureters to an orthotopic intestinal urinary diversion. It is possible to anastomose one or two ureters into an afferent (ileal) tubularised segment leading either continuously or in a valvelike fashion into a detubularised intestinal reservoir, or the ureters are directly implanted to the detubularised intestinal reservoir. By using an afferent tubular ileum segment, it is possible to shorten the distal ureters, which may have the advantage from both the oncologic and the vascularisation standpoints.
