Following two full-scale trial runs on the former Union Carbide plant in Seadrift, Texa, DuPont Dow says it can bring the plant on stream during the first quarterof 2002. In addition to its plans for the Seadrift plant,t he copany ahs announced its intertion to produce an ethylene-butene material, and aims to be the world's largest, adn lowest-cost producer of ethylene elastomers.
