Synthetic polyisoprene seeks new markets

Kraton Polymers is developing a latex grade of its Kraton polyisoprene material, but it is currently at least ten times the price of natural rubber latex. The material is being made in Kraton's plant in Pernis, The Netherlands, but is then shipped to a plant in Japan, which converts the solid mateirla into a latex.
