Gates considers plant closure

Denver, Colorado-Transmission belt and hose systems supplier Gates Corp. may close its Elizabethtown, Kentucky belt-manufacturing plant. A final decision awaits results of talks with union representatives of USWA Local Union 780, said a Gates statement.
