You may not have come across the term but the proportion of the population referred to as Generation-Y - those born in early 1982 to the early 2000s - are going to become increasingly important and if you don't understand their specific needs and desires it's time to find out... and fast. Why? Because they represent the most rapidly growing segment of any workforce and their approach to the workplace is very different to the majority of today's middle/ senior managers, who are generally Baby Boomers (1946 - 1960).
