Euro Parliament approves tyre labelling legislation

Brussels - The European Parliament approved the draft regulation on tyre labelling in late November without a vote. Rapporteur Ivo Belet praised the benefits of the legislation. He said "the new labelling system was a straightforward measure with great advantages for the environment and consumers", adding that the cost to manufacturers should be minimal.
