Vestern ZnO producers have been facing competition from chinese producers,who are exporting large amounts of material.this has pushed prices down and western ZnO producers have been suffering.So there is overcapacity i the business.Leading producer umicore,based in brussels,has closed a UK and a French plant recently and now supplies very little material into the rubber sector,a spokesman said.
