Horoyd Associates propose changes to tyre industry

In this article, Eric Horoyd suggests that the tyre industry has been walking up a blind alley for the last 50 years or more, because of its method of constructing tyres. He argues that a tyre does not need to use separate steelcord and fabric reinforcement, but instead that compounds need to be made much stronger.
