Impact to cut costs at Goodyear

'Impact' is Goodyear's acronyn for a modern tyre manufacturing system. The full system uses modern control systems, high levels of automation,and new ideas such as injection moulding, to cut costs and improve quality. On top of that, however, there is a purpose-designed machine-the 'hot former'-which is at the heart of the tyre manufacturing process.
