Yokohama to further expand Chinese plant

Tokyo - The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. is to increase its Phase IV expansion of Hangzhou Yokohama Tire Co., Ltd. The effect will be to increase its production capacity to 5.1 million passenger-car tyres a year from the current 3 million. Planned investment in the Phase IV expansion as a whole is approximately ￥7000 million (?52 million), and production is scheduled to begin in January 2011 using the expanded facility.
