SSL International plc wants to sell its medical division, which includes the Regent business, a major producer of latex and synthetic gloves for surgeons and dentists, with two major plants in Malaysia. The Cheshire, UK-based group said 31 Mar that the proceeds from such a sale, to be carried out by Rothschild, would be used to reduce its debt and to make its consumer division more competitive glob-ally.
