There is, as they say, something strange going on in the neighbourhood. Many materials are in short supply, and that is leading to some unusual effects.It's barely a year since we were all looking over the edge of the abyss at reduced orders, massive de-stocking and plummeting demand. Now, we have seen some kind of recovery and all the cuts made during 2008 / 2009 have reduced the break-even point significantly, leading, in theory at least, to some good profits.
