UK: Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has advanced its strategy of offering higher value-added products with the announcement of a capacity expansion in China and a plant closure in Germany. The US-based tire-maker broke ground on a ?437-mil-lion expansion of its Dalian factory in Pulandian, 2 Nov, to increase production capacity there by 5 million tires a year - an increase of around 50%.
