Apoptosis and Immunity 2005 was the ninth in a series of conferences centred on cellular immunity and particularly the molecular and cellular biology of cytotoxic lymphocytes, the first of which was held in Marseilles in 1981. More than 80 delegates from 20 countries attended the conference, which was held in the convivial surroundings of the Novotel Resort at Palm Cove, north Queensland.
