Commentary on: Cutaneous amyloidoses and systemic amyloidoses with cutaneous involvement (Eur J Dermatol 2010; 20: 152-60)

Dear Editor, I recently retrieved the review on amyloidoses by S. Schreml and colleagues [1] for a teaching session. It is a nicely written, concise review with clear-cut concepts that highlights the relevance of cutaneous findings in systemic amyloidoses, a fact many times overlooked in several reviews. Nevertheless, I would like to make a couple of comments. First, one of the most common forms of organ-limited cutaneous amyloidosis: lichen amyloido-sus, is associated with many conditions, probably most are coincidental, but it is not associated with multiple myeloma.
