A Czech consumer organization called out a misleading advertisement by an American based company having a Czech subsidiary concerning a food supple ment broadcast on a private TV channel, which breached EU rules on prohibited health claims. The CzechCouncil for Radio and Television Broadcasting (hereinafter referred to as CCRTB) is a central body of the state administration in charge of monitoring advertisement contents. It is endowed with the power to impose sanctions in case the applicable rules have been breached.
