Producer outlook for 2012

In the US right now we have a situation where three factors are providing challenges for biomass energy and renewable energy in general. These are: 1. The price of natural gas. At the moment we are looking at historic lows, as it's between $2 and $3 (?1.5-2) per MMBtu. The impact this has on biomass energy is that every time we discuss selling power to a utility, we're always comparing it against the utility's avoided costs which are currently driven by natural gas.
