In their article 'Toward a Radically Embodied, Embedded Social Psychology' Marsh, Johnston, Richardson and Schmidtpropose a roadmap for a 'new social psychology' that is dedicated to study social behaviour from an ecologicalperspective. In this perspective, the focus is not on individuals' internal mental states but on the dynamic relations betweenindividuals and their environment. This assumption is in stark contrast to the dominating social cognition perspective thathighlights internal representations and processes that allow people to understand and navigate a highly complex socialworld.
