The company's woodchip gasification process can produce renewable heat and energy without generating any liquid effluent that would need to be disposed of and treated. The investment is to develop this system and the funds are comingfrom the Finance for Business North East Proof of Concept Fund, managed by Northstar Ventures. 'This investment by Northstar will enable us to install and commission a demonstration plant at Wilton that will prove the viability of this groundbreaking technology,' says company chairman Ralph Pickles.
