Human waste helps improve sanitation of Kenyan town

Twelve months ago, more than 95% of all households and businesses were not connected to the sewer system and relied mainly on pit latrines instead. However, thanks to a project developed by the Water Service Board, the local Water Service Provider, Water Services Trust Fund, Rift Valley Water Service Board and the municipal council of Nalvasha, nearly 10,000 of the 70,000 locals living in Nalvasha now live in sanitary, hygienic conditions.
