摘要

This short note reports the preparation of Pr~(3+) doped (NaPO_3)_6-b_2O_3-BaF_2-ZnF_2-AlF_3-RF(where RF=LiF-NaF, NaF-KF and KF-LiF) glasses in six different RF chemical compositions.For these praseodymium glasses, study of various physical properties like refactive index, density deelecric constant, reflection losses, praseodymium ion concentration and some other physical properties based on the chemcal composition was made. Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters for f-f transitions are derived from the absorption spectra and used to calculate the radiative properties for fluorescent levels ~3p_2, ~3P_O and ~1D_2 of Pr~(3+) ions. The stimulated emission cross section of different observed emission states of pr~(3+) doped glasses were measured by using the Judd Ofeld theory
