摘要

The energy transfer rate between Er~(3+)ions in ZBLAN glass was estimated from the optical spectra and transition rates using a method proposed by Kushida.The option rates using a method proposed by Kshida.The optical spectra and radiative transition rates were obtained from structural models based on molecular dynamic simulation and crystal field theory.The lifetime of ~4I_(13/2),~4I_(11/2),~4F_(9/2)and ~4S_(3/2)levels were evaluated from calculation and experiment.The claculated dependence of the lifetime on the Er~(3+)concentrations was found to reproduce the experimental one semiquentitatively.Te nonexponential decay curve of the ~4S_(3/2)level was discussed in terms f the distribution of Er-Er distances occurring in the structural models baed on molecular dynamic simulation.
