We read with great interest the recently published article by Yang et al. [1] in which the authors investigated the association between red blood cell distribution width (RDW) and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in patients diagnosed by ultrasonography. They concluded that RDW was increased in NAFLD patients. However, we believe that there are some points that should be emphasized about the study.
