Gopel Electronic has launched a system for the automatic inspection of fluorescent con-formal coatings. The "TOM" system (Teachable Optical Measurement) can be used for inspecting the coated regions of a printed circuit board, and for checking the regions that are to remain uncoated. The maximum size of board for this is 460 x 400 mm. The range of possible standard camera configurations includes single-camera and multiple-camera set-ups (1 megapixel to 5 megapixels), in colour or black and white.
